"If you want to invest in a Zisha teapot, is there anyone who can recommend a master?" "Can I buy one of certain masters' teapots? And will it appreciate in value?" Brick suggests that people shouldn't be so eager to touch on "master" pieces, as they don't fully understand the inside workings.

I've recently received a few private messages on Master Houtian's WeChat asking about the bricks.

"Do you know of a tea master who recommends investing in Yixing teapots?"

"Want to get some antique vase by that famous artist? Still got room for appreciation?"

The advice from the bricklayer to everyone is not to be too quick in getting into a "master" teapot, because what's inside you can't see. It's like the Emperor's New Clothes where everyone says it's good but when the emperor steps down, the clothes are nothing.

Here's how a new suit is made. Listen up, I'll tell you all about it and save you from making a mistake.

Let's hear a case first, brick brick friend bought big master pot, before buying asked around well, is XXX Association member, obtained the XXX honor, has XXX title. Also saw the pot price flipped several times in person, thought it was absolutely safe, bit his teeth and spent 100,000 on it.

I was thinking of keeping it in my hand for a few years and then selling it, but I didn't expect this master to be so prolific, throwing out good ones every year. I thought about waiting, but by the time he left the XXX association and retired, the prices of his vases in my hands had also dropped.

What can be done? Selling it to others, they don't even want it. It has no collector value, so it's unlikely to be a family heirloom. In the end, I sold it for 5,000 yuan at a low price, but the other person thought that was too expensive.

So when we look at job titles and honorifics, buy a bottle. This was completely irrational behavior.

Titles and honors can be bought, or simply invented with words such as "national" or "expert," to give the appearance of authority. All the money saved in that way is then used to buy articles to publish everywhere, giving an appearance of fame. But if one actually has a few real accomplishments...

Therefore, the value of a Zisha teapot is not measured by the author's title and reputation, but rather by their craftsmanship. Good craftsmanship is what makes a good teapot.

It all depends on one's personal taste, and that's exactly hard to control.

Perhaps someone will raise a different opinion here. Beauty is different. That's right. Individuals' beauty standards are different but also have a technical standard.

I took out two jugs, Guo Jingzhou's utensils, Chen Mingyuan's utensils, and let you distinguish them.

If you can tell the difference between these two in terms of craftsmanship, then your aesthetic sense is qualified. If you can say that one of them is more beautiful than the other, then your aesthetic sense is good.

In fact, most of the Yixing teapot players can not distinguish between a machine-made teapot and a handmade one, let alone appraise a Yixing teapot. They can only say it "looks good."

So I don't recommend anyone buying a Master's pot, if you really want one just check to see if you meet the following three requirements.

Can you really tell the true value of the vase? The increase in price depends on the craftsman's skill, title, honor, and status.

The aesthetic value of Zisha teapot, where is beautiful, can be put forward one or two points.

3. Whether your funds are sufficient, there is a batch of young powerful masters who have made 4 times the price of Da Shi Piao with Li Han Yong's Big Stone Bucket in 4 years, but its initial auction price was 360,000 yuan, you can buy gold instead, it's safer by this much.

If you can't meet these three conditions, I still suggest you don't buy a Gaozi pot, and wait for it to appreciate.

For ordinary people, a purple sand teapot is just an everyday item for making tea.
