Most people do not know that Chinese ancestors have grown tea trees as evergreen trees naturally. There is no cultivated dwarf tea on terraces at all. Therefore, our ancestors mainly drank big tree evergreen tea. There are many proofs for this. Lu Yu wrote in "Cha Jing" that "tea is the excellent evergreen of the south. Its height is one foot, two feet or even dozens of feet. In the mountain valleys and streams of Ba Mountain, there are some as thick as two people embracing."

Most people don't know that China's ancient ancestors all planted tea trees as evergreen broadleaf tree, there was no one to prune it. Therefore our ancestor drank a lot of big tree teas, this has many evidence.

Lǔ Yú wrote in the opening chapter of Cha Jing: "Tea is a valuable tree native to southern China. A few feet up to dozens of feet tall. In the mountain valleys, there are trees as big as two men embracing." It can be seen that our tea trees in Tang Dynasty were large deciduous trees.

Another Qing dynasty tea thief, Robert Fortune, described in his memoirs what he saw when visiting Wuyi Mountains: "The women come to the garden with a tray on their head and pluck the leaves from the branches..."

Yunnan has tens of thousands of hectares of ancient trees that have been cultivated for over a century, which is an iron-clad proof that our ancestors' tea cultivation method and wisdom.

The richness of Pu-erh tea has set a benchmark for the entire Chinese tea industry, with people's sensory experience and spiritual response being at its core. Although many foreign companies now have bigger scale and economic benefits than most domestic ones in China, only a true connoisseur of tea can appreciate the value of fine pu-erh, next to the Japanese and Koreans.

Delving into the reasons for being surpassed by Western Europe, it was because of British invention of modern tea cultivation methods and setting standards for the health of tea leaves, now known as European Standard. In order to regain our position as the global birthplace of tea, we must also work from a standardization standpoint, using ancient tree tea as a benchmark to establish new, higher standards for tea production that surpass those of Western Europe and Japan, thereby increasing the price and profits of our tea leaves and thus truly reviving our industry.

Ancient tree tea not only has benchmark and economic value, but also has a very high research value. The ancient tree tea production area in Yunnan Province is the largest artificial cultivation of ancient trees and wild ancient trees in the world. There are obvious differences in taste and texture between ancient trees over 100 years old and those over 500 years old or even thousands of years old on the same branch of a tea tree.

Numerous trees of different ages provide a rich source of study material for scientists to research the nutritional components in tea and their effects on human neural functions, as well as how they can improve human health. The essence of tea also offers unlimited potential for plant extracts to be hot items in the future.

Pu-erh tea made from ancient trees has a very rich value of drinking. Its color, aroma, taste, rhythm, breath, spirit, Zen, naturalness, health and ecology, are far superior to other teas in every aspect. In fact, Pu-erh tea made from ancient trees is the king in the tea world, and completely should not be compared with other tea varieties. The subsequent Puer tea, terraced tea small tree tea class belongs to the prince level. It can be compared with other teas, but due to its ecological environment and variety of reasons it is a little better.

Pu'er tea's rise to popularity is a thing that has happened over one or two decades, with many devoted fans of Pu'er tea. Before drinking other teas, after drinking Pu'er tea for some time, it was "hooked", and turned from the others, hard to enter another tea.

It's not because it has good health, the other two and others are all the added value of Mount Tai. Intuitive taste is the only way to contact Pu'er tea, and it's just opening a big door, behind which there are countless worlds, mysterious beauty.

Those who have drunk authentic old tree Pu-erh tea will remember its taste and never forget it. This is where the charm and value of old tree pu-erh lies, to say that old tree pu-erh is the end of all tea's flavors and beliefs, would not be an exaggeration.

Of course, ancient tree Pu'er tea value, can be explained from three angles: flavor value, health value and time value, these three major value support the basic value of ancient tree Pu'er tea.

Flavor value

Flavor value, flavor contains two dimensions, delicacy and richness. The superiority of the taste is to say in the simplest terms "good drinking." Ancient tree tea has the best taste experience. Drinking tea by nature is a pursuit of taste process, only good taste can captivate people's hearts.

Old tea trees indeed have a superior flavor compared to non-old tea trees, especially in the two crucial references of throaty and harmonious taste which are used to judge the quality of tea.

The most direct experience is how good it tastes. If the tea's flavor value of ancient trees pu-erh was not based on "how good it tastes", other values about ancient tree tea would be difficult to exist, but every person's understanding of "good taste" is different, so "how good it tastes" requires rich flavor options, or in other words, requires richness of flavors.

The richness of the flavor, referring to Pu'er tea under ancient trees with one mountain and one taste, a thousand mountains and a thousand tastes. Ancient tree varieties, climate, soil characteristics, created different flavors of tea leaves, gave ancient Pu'er tea rich connotations space, providing selection space for those with different preferences for flavors.

Fragrant Old Ban Zhang, sweet Iceland, orchid-scented Jia Mi, bitter old Manhao, no matter what flavor you like, you can find your own taste among the thousands of flavors.

Health Value

Health benefits, health includes two dimensions: safety and efficacy of prevention. The healthiness of ancient tree tea is determined by the production management way of ancient tree tea.

Tea is a beverage, and safety must be given top priority. The ancient tea garden where the old trees of ancient tea grow, is surrounded by primeval forest, with good preservation of biodiversity around ancient tea trees and their original nature, and has lived in harmony with nature for thousands of years. It already has the ability to resist all kinds of pests and diseases without using pesticides, making it a more natural and healthier drink.

And the planting method of minority nationalities does not have the traditional habit of spraying pesticides and fertilizers. Such a natural environment and planting methods guarantee the essence of pure and safe ancient trees tea, which is truly pure, non-polluted, safe and healthy drinks.

Ancient Tree Pu'er Tea is the most superior quality of Pu'er tea with a rich health effect.

Research by the team of Shao Wanfang indicates that Pu'er tea is unique in having curative effects on lowering blood fat, anti-atherosclerosis, reducing sugar levels, weight reduction, prevention and treatment of fatty liver, anti-oxidation, protection against radiation, resistance to lack of oxygen, fatigue, anti-aging, anti-oxidative stress, inhibition of cholesterol absorption and synthesis, as well as calcium metabolism in the human body.

Rich in health functions, it also shows the healthy value of ancient tea Pu-erh.

Time Value

The value of time is also part of Pu-erh's core values, containing two dimensions: the unique property of aging and becoming more fragrant, as well as the non-replicable quality of high-grade ancient tree tea.

The more aged, the more fragrant it is, for old Pu'er tea has the charm of ancient trees.

Under proper storage conditions, Pu'er tea will undergo a rich transformation. Within a certain period of storage, the quality of pu'er tea is on the rising trend. Good preservation and processing can ensure the hygiene quality of pu'er tea and change its flavor quality towards fragrant, mellow, sweet, smooth and slippery.

During storage, the Pu-erh tea aroma substances undergo a series of changes in composition structure and proportion. Polyphenol compounds undergo structural changes, making Pu-erh tea with different storage times have unique fragrances, variable soup colors, milder bitterness, and sweeter and more palatable taste.

Another dimension of the value of aged Pu'er tea is its non-replicability, which high-grade ancient tree teas.

Currently, the industry of Pu-erh tea is divided into old tree tea and non-old tree tea with a boundary of 100 years.

Besides, generating ancient tea trees needs the cooperation of the entire ecological environment in a tea garden. That is to say, even if you have been cultivating for 100 years, you are not guaranteed to grow high-quality ancient tea trees. This is because the growth environment and overall ecology of ancient tea trees change constantly, being influenced by numerous factors such as tree age, variety, and management methods of the tea gardens. High-quality ancient tea tree replicas are basically impossible to produce, and this part of their value has yet to be accepted by most consumers and industry professionals.

The value of old tea trees is not single, but multi-values. As long as it has some value, more people will recognize it. Old Pu'er tea is the most valuable tea in China.
